The Australian Allergy Centre is a Primary Care Allergy service run by General Practitioners with additional Allergy and ENT skills training. Our GP’s are shared.care Doctors. This means they are part of a team of medical professionals equipped in allergy diagnosis and comprehensive treatment, meaning you get the answers you need sooner, without the stress and high price tag. We believe that by embracing video technology, case conferencing, and a postgraduate GP special skills training program built on mentorship, that it is possible to provide a sustainable general practice solution for the future of allergy care. Our aim is to provide post-graduate allergy and ENT skills training to an entire Primary Care workforce to change the future of allergy care in Australia. This way, our GP’s and nurses can work alongside specialist colleagues to provide efficient, affordable, and comprehensive access to specialist care anywhere and anytime – the first shared.care model of its kind. The Australian Allergy Centre’s GP shared.care model was built in response to the growing demands for access to comprehensive Allergy testing and management. At Australian Allergy Centre, our Doctors and nurses are trained to work alongside specialists in ENT, Immunology, Dermatology, Anaesthetics, Orthodontics, Paediatricians, Sleep and Respiratory physicians to give Australian patients the nation’s first shared care allergy team approach.
Allergists and immunologists are among the most in-demand health professionals in Australia.
In some places it can take more than a year to get an Allergy test, or be very expensive. We believe that quality specialist heath care should be accessible to all Australians. Here's how we are trying to change that.
