CHECKLIST
Remember, you don’t need a referral letter to see our GP’s. However, before you arrive, bring any previous Allergy test results, medication lists, blood tests, CT scans, XRAYS or specialist letters you think may be helpful.
NEED TO CANCEL?
To maintain our fair and equitable fee structure, we need your help. Please let us know if you cannot attend. You will receive an appointment confirmation text. Confirm or please call to reschedule your appointment and if you need to cancel.
ALLOW 1 HOUR
For initial consultations please allow an hour for your tests and appointment. You should also allow about 5 minutes prior to your appointment to complete new patient paperwork.
MEDICATIONS TO STOP
IMPORTANT: YOU MUST STOP THE FOLLOWING MEDICATIONS PRIOR TO ALLERGY TESTING. ANTIHISTAMINES AS THESE MEDICATIONS HAVE AN ANTIHISTAMINE LIKE EFFECT WHICH CAN INTERFERE WITH THE ALLERGY TEST. PLEASE EMAIL US PRIOR IF
- Oral Antihistamines such as Claratyne and Zyrtec – 7 days prior (please check any medications you are taking as they may contain hidden Antihistamines, this includes over the counter medications such as cold and flu tablets). Antihistamines can interfere with your allergy test.
- Oral Steroids such as Prednisolone, Dexamethasone, or Redipred – 3 weeks prior to your appointment

It is ok to continue your steroid nasal sprays, eye drops or asthma steroid inhalers.

Help us keep your health care team connected! Results of your allergy testing can be sent to your health care team, you just need to let us know who! Please take the time on your patient registration form to indicate who are your regular health care team members such as your GP, dentists, pediatrician etc.
